Just hours before the press conference with this year's Nobel laureate in literature began in the Exchange House, the academy member on chair number 10, Peter Englunds, announced: that he chooses to boycott this year's Nobel Week, something that DN was the first to report.

Englund will thus not participate in any celebrations or ceremonies in connection with the Nobel Prize in Literature being awarded next week.

The reason is that the widely debated author Peter Handke was awarded this year's Nobel Prize in literature.
