Kuwaiti novelist Saud Al-Sanousi described his new novel “Naqah Saleh” as a deliberate act, but rather a spontaneous act, as it was led by a song by singer Abdullah Al-Fadhala, pointing out that the work speaks of the desert environment, which he wanted to be the scene of a love story full of feelings for the protagonists.

“I heard a lot of comments about the name of the novel,” he said during the panel discussion organized by Al Rawi Cultural Café in Sharjah, in cooperation with the Sharjah International Book Office. “Readers and critics have linked the title to the Prophet Saleh's camel, and this has nothing to do with it. To take its final form at work, and in line with the characters and plot ».

The writer, who won the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (Poker) for his novel «Bamboo leg»: «I wanted to (Naqa Saleh) to tell the culture of the desert with all the manifestations and privacy, I have recovered desert trips, and living conditions there, not only write about A superficial vision, but I go to live (experience), and this is what happened in (bamboo leg) and other work ».

`` In all my writings, Kuwait is there, I am haunted by my homeland, and I have always been obsessed with writing about my country and the entire Gulf region, '' he said.

He pointed out that many of the details and small daily scenes make the writer immortal works, pointing out that the dove that came every day on the window of his house is the reason for writing his novel «bath house».

Al-Sanousi continued: «I am haunted by reality and linked to it, and I always believe that writing is the only opportunity in which the writer addresses people after leaving the world».

On the sidelines of the session, the café organized a signing ceremony for the new Al-Sanousi novel, Naqa Salih.
