The wax figure of him stands in the DJ booth with a cheerful smile, with one hand in the air and one hand on the mixer table, headphones around his neck and cap behind and back - as he often appeared during his concerts.

According to Billboard, Tom Middleton, director at Madame Tussauds in New York, says that the museum always strives to create wax dolls of celebrities that have been groundbreaking in their area.

- I think it's easy to see that Avicii is one of the most iconic musicians of our generation, he says.

Avicii's parents have helped

Madame Tussauds has collaborated with Tim Bergling's parents in the creation of the wax doll.

- It was honestly an honor to work with them. They were really involved and engaged in all the steps of the work, says Tom Middleton.

Avicii's wax doll stands next to dolls by other stars such as Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Ed Sheeran.
