On Friday, October 4, an international holiday dedicated to the protection of wildlife is celebrated - World Animal Protection Day. The holiday was established in 1931. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the number of wild animals in the world has decreased by 60% over the past 40 years, and vertebrate mammals - by 89%. By the end of the year, RTD and WWF will present a joint documentary film “Wild and Free”, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the foundation in Russia.
