Leading specialist at the Phobos Center, Mikhail Leus, told RT about the weather this week in the metropolitan area. According to him, in the second half of the week there will come a semblance of Indian summer.

“The sharp cooling that came to the center of European Russia in the second half of September seemed to completely nullify all weather forecasts about the next Indian summer, which all residents of the central part of European Russia look forward to. The first half of this week will confirm these concerns. Today, as well as on Tuesday and Wednesday, the metropolitan region will continue to feel the influence of the rear of the vast cyclone, the center of which goes beyond the Polar Urals, ”Leus explained.

He noted that the temperature background these days will be 4-5 ° C below the climatic norm.

According to Leus, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the first frosts will take place already in Moscow, but they will not be strong.

“The air temperature will not drop below -1 ° C. During the daytime, the temperature will be within +6 ° C. ... + 9 ° C, the weather is cloudy with clearings, without significant precipitation. In the second half of the week, some semblance of Indian summer will come to the capital region. Moscow and the surrounding area will be influenced by the anticyclone, the clouds in the sky will become smaller, and although it will not be clear, the sun's rays will be able to warm the air masses better, and the air temperature will gradually rise, ”said the weather forecaster.

He added that on Saturday in Moscow it is expected + 2 ... + 4 ° C at night, and up to + 13 ... + 15 ° C in the daytime.

At the same time, Leus noted that on Sunday comfortable weather will again be replaced by rains and a slight cooling.

Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that the "yellow" level of weather danger in Moscow and the Moscow region was extended until the evening of September 24.
