“The Soviet director and documentary screenwriter, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1982), USSR State Prize Laureate Boris Nikolayevich Rychkov left us,” the organization’s website said in a statement.
It is specified that Rychkov died on September 1.
The Union of Cinematographers of Russia, the Association of Documentary Films and the non-fiction film commission expressed their condolences to the director’s family and friends.
