Through its All Within My Hands foundation, the band has donated to a charity in each city they played in during the tour. When they played at Ullevi, the Gothenburg City Mission received a check of SEK 300,000, which GT then reported.
This is not the first time Metallica has given a sip. In connection with the fires in California last year, members donated the equivalent of SEK 900,000 to the relief work. They donated the money from the Polar Prize to Stockholm's city mission, the World Childhood foundation, and to last year's other recipients of the award - The Afghanistan National Institute of Music.
