The UAE has lost one of its most prominent creators, the poet and writer Habib Al Sayegh, Secretary General of the General Union of Arab Writers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Writers Union, who missed today 67 years.

The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, mourned Habib Al Sayegh and tweeted on his Twitter account: “The UAE has lost the creative writer and the author of the wise and bold pen, Mr. Habib Al Sayegh. We miss Habib, may God have mercy on him, and his paradise is at the top of his literary, intellectual and national gift. I will miss him a friend, and a creative pen. I offer his family and his loved ones with deep condolences. ”

Al-Sayegh worked for decades in journalism and cultural work, and participated actively in the creative movement, and his pen and influence spread beyond the borders of his homeland, so he was chosen as Secretary General. Arab Writers Union.
