The UAE has honored 1,000 mothers and wives of martyrs in the Yemeni governorates, which were liberated on the occasion of "Mother's Day" as part of its "Year of Tolerance" initiatives.

The director of humanitarian affairs of the UAE Red Crescent in Yemen Mohammed al-Junaibi and the deputy of Hodeidah Hashim al-Azzazi accompanied by a number of local officials in the West Coast distributed gifts in kind to the mothers and wives of martyrs.

Al-Junaibi said that this honor comes within the framework of the UAE's interest in Yemeni women by providing support and assistance to alleviate their suffering and improve their living conditions.

For his part, Hashim Al-Azzazi said that this honor reflects the interest and keenness of the UAE to provide all means of support for the population of the West Coast and the whole of Yemen to alleviate their suffering.

The honored mothers expressed their great happiness in this gesture of gratitude and appreciation to the UAE and its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent Authority.
