A week after the deadly attack on two mosques in Christchurch, Dubai has projected a picture of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. Dubai's ruler Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktum thanked Ardern for their solidarity with Muslims in New Zealand. The picture showed the 38-year-old hugging a Muslim woman wearing a black headscarf, using the word "peace" in Arabic and English.

Sheikh al-Maktum thanked Ardern on Twitter for her "sincere condolences" and her support after the attack, which earned her the "respect of 1.5 billion Muslims" worldwide. Burj Khalifa is the highest skyscraper in the world at 828 meters.

On March 15, an Australian right-wing extremist shot and killed 50 believers during Friday prayers in two mosques in Christchurch. Ardern was praised worldwide for her response to the attacks. At meetings with survivors of the attack victims, she wore a headscarf demonstratively, she also provided for a rapid tightening of the New Zealand weapons laws.
