Scissions in the blockers, disagreements in the road. There were only about 30 yellow vests left when the gendarmes intervened at the interchange 40 between 16:30 and 17:00.

Since the beginning of the afternoon, the gendarmes were more and more numerous at the Guilberville roundabout. For their part, the Yellow Vests were not all on the same wavelength from where the evacuation of trucks blocked on the highway for more than thirty hours. Despite a few refueling fires and an attempt to block the Torigni interchange a distance of about ten kilometers, the end of the movement seemed close.

There remained only about thirty demonstrators when, around 16:30, about forty gendarmes unfolded around the roundabout. A few minutes later, the security forces pushed the protesters smoothly towards the old Torigni road. At 5 pm, everything was almost calm.

Already, the Interdepartmental Directorate of Roads North West (Dirno) was at work to repair the damage caused on the highway. She was going to be able to take possession of the roundabout to clean nearly four days of occupation. The traffic was to be fully restored within a few hours. The gendarmes announced a surveillance in the evening "to prevent any attempt at reoccupation".
