As US president, George W. Bush made it to the top of his professional life like no one else. However, the 72-year-old had to wait a long time for a special form of private happiness - until now.

The Republican politician made his first hole-in-one at the Trinity Forest Golf Club. For golf laymen: He hit from the tee directly into the hole. According to his own information, he succeeded on track 12, a par 3.

On his Instagram picture next to him are the CEO of the Bush Center, Ken Harsh, as well as the board members Mike Meece and Bill Hickey to see. Alluding to his number on a usual 18-hole round of golf, Bush joked: "Next life goal in golf: 100 years old, so I can play my age."
