An Egyptian court has decided to punish Tareq al-Nahari and nine others for life imprisonment in the case known as the "Cabinet Events" and the burning of the scientific compound.

Local media reported that the Giza Criminal Court sentenced 10-year-olds Islam Hanafi Shehata and Mohamed Abdel-Al Rabie to 10 years in prison, while 21 others were acquitted.

Al-Shorouq newspaper reported that the court had previously sentenced Tareq al-Nahari to life imprisonment in absentia on charges of involvement in burning the scientific complex, gathering, demonstrating and possessing firearms.

The investigations carried out in Cairo, the arrest of the river in the area of ​​Sayeda Zeinab after the escape of more than 3 years, and his presentation to the prosecution of incidents south of Cairo College, took action to re-trial.

The case concerns the events that broke out in September 2011 in central Cairo, resulting in the assault on and burning of government buildings such as the Egyptian Scientific Complex, the Council of Ministers, the People's Assembly and the Shura Council and the Roads and Bridges Authority building, which includes a number of government buildings, including the Bulaq district, Egyptian Ports Authority, Transport Projects Authority, Planning Authority and Ministry of Transport Branch.

The prosecution has referred the defendants to their involvement in disrupting public facilities, possession of white weapons, Molotov cocktails and flaming balls.

Some of them were also accused of possessing drugs for the purpose of dealing with them, starting to storm the building of the Ministry of the Interior to burn it, and damaging and burning some cars belonging to government agencies and property belonging to citizens.
