At Isabelle Morizet on Saturday, the actor pays tribute to his father, who died in September 2018, with whom he had a strong bond.

He is known to be laughing, smiling, and fond of good words in his roles in the movies or on television. From March 26 on M6, the comedian is on the bill of the mini-series A plane without her, adapted from the best seller of Michel Bussy. A drama of particular resonance for Bruno Solo, as he explains Saturday at Isabelle Morizet.

"I decided that my character was going to look like him physically." "I lost my dad just before shooting this series (September 2018, ed.) As my dad left, I decided that my character would look like him physically," says Bruno Solo. A way to honor him. "It's a decision I made at the last moment," he says. Bruno Solo has gone back to his childhood memories, to the quest for images. "I went to look for photographs of my father from the late 1970s, when the first part of the film takes place," he says. The actor has taken over the look of his late father, some physical aspects too.

"My dad was a curious man". To understand this approach, we must understand the deep relationship Bruno Solo had with his father. A libertarian anarchist dad, pioneer of ecology. "My dad was engaged, he was a curious man," recalls the comedian. "He taught me this curiosity: never refrain from digging, asking questions, getting involved," says the comedian. A temperament that contrasted with that of his mother, who also died. "It brought me more to the idea that to live in society passed by a certain exaltation." My mother was more in the intuition, the taste of the moment, an appetite for the present, "he says. Both formed "a good breeding ground", in the words of Bruno Solo.

"I basically understood who he was on this trip." At the age of 13, Bruno Solo will have the chance to live an extraordinary adventure. Cross the United States, from New York to Arizona. An initiatory journey wanted by ... his father. "I basically understood who he was on this trip and who he hoped I was," recalls the actor. It is since this trip that Bruno Solo has developed a certain political awareness. Artist or simple citizen, "we all have a political responsibility," says Bruno Solo today.
