In the Pacific Ocean near the east coast of Kamchatka, an earthquake of magnitude 5.0. Interfax informs about this with reference to the Kamchatka Branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“The seismic event occurred on Tuesday afternoon local time. Its center lay at a depth of 40 km, ”- stated in the message.
It is noted that the epicenter of earthquakes was located 196 km north-east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Earlier in the Kuril Islands recorded three earthquakes per day.
