Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Saito plans to accompany the Prime Minister on his visit to the United States to “advance cooperation on decarbonization policies and other areas” Prime Minister Kishida will be visiting the U.S. as a state guest for the first time in nine years as a prime minister.

Saito will discuss policies for realizing a decarbonized society and strengthening supply chains for semiconductors and other products through talks with relevant American ministers and others.
