She concluded that there was no point in trying to promote human rights in the Middle East as long as Washington continued to send weapons to Israel. She confirmed that her talk publicly about her resignation came at the request of colleagues whose personal circumstances prevented them from submitting their resignation. This is after 100 State Department employees signed a memorandum opposing Biden, accusing him of spreading misleading information about the war.
