A British shelter plans to take in a baby hedgehog even though it is a hat pompom. The story made all of England smile.

A woman in her sixties went to a wild animal shelter to have a hedgehog she had picked up on the side of the road treated. It was when the veterinarians examined the animal that they realized that it was a bonnet pompom, which had fallen from a hat. This rescue also allowed them to provide warnings to all British people about the rescue and preservation of these small mammals.
