The Oktava plant in Tula has created the Obereg-S armored system for humanitarian mine clearance specialists. The suit for explosives technicians has ballistic packages of a special protection class, is lightweight and is convenient for working from one knee.

The body armor is currently undergoing a series of tests. After confirmation of the stated characteristics, it will be put into mass production. According to experts, the suit will provide the sapper with protection when clearing anti-personnel mines and unexploded ordnance.
