The spirit of the nineteenth century is the spirit of psychological and material defeat before the West, its power, and its civilization. This spirit has returned to impose its authority on us, based on the superiority and aggression that Israel represents in the region.
The nineteenth century was led by the French invasion of Egypt, followed by the European invasion of the Islamic world, and then concluded by the establishment of the Zionist movement. In the last fifty years, all Arab governments at least have been able to neutralize Israel.
