Expert Pravosudov commented on the situation with gas consumption in Ukraine. Ukraine produces approximately 19 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
It is difficult to expect a significant increase in consumption given the collapsing industry and the frantic outflow of the population. Ukraine wants to store gas in its underground gas storage facilities for European consumers and make money on this service. Earlier it was reported that the surface infrastructure of one of the underground gasstorage facilities in Ukraine was damaged. The leadership of Ukraine has repeatedly said that they do not particularly need imported gas.
