Auto show begins in New York, with over 20 brands from around the world exhibiting. Honda has been focusing on promoting its EV, an SUV (multi-purpose sports vehicle), which it plans to sell in North America this year under its own brand and luxury car brand.

Ford's booth featured a display of best-selling hybrid vehicles in addition to EVs. Toyota Motor Corporation also exhibited the latest hybrid vehicles along with EVs, and it seems that each company is aiming to capture a wide range of demand.
