The number of infections on the last day is 219, bringing the total number of infections to 240,326.
Yesterday, and for the second consecutive day, Health recorded no new deaths from Covid-19. The total figure stood at 27,127 deaths, as on Monday and Sunday. 34 of those deaths occurred, according to official data, in the last week.
However, on Tuesday the Principality of Asturias reported 6 deaths in its territorial area and the Community of Madrid, another 12, which are added to 11 on Monday. The Minister of Health of Castilla y León, Verónica Casado, stated that she did not understand the Ministry's figures and that the total number of deaths had not changed when several communities confirmed new deaths.
The director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón, admitted this Tuesday that "this discrepancy is not very logical" and he attributed it in some cases to delays in loading the series and in others that there may be a difference between the date the death is known and the date the patient died.
