These are the most massive and deadliest air raids carried out by

Israel

in

Syria

, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH). The fighter-bombers fired a large number of air-to-ground missiles at three different areas around Aleppo, including factories in the Sfeira military-industrial complex near the airport, jointly operated by the Syrian army, the ministry Syrian Defense and pro-Iranian groups, says our correspondent in Beirut,

Paul Khalifeh

.

Several missiles

hit their targets

, despite the entry into action of the Syrian anti-aircraft defense. Loud explosions were heard in the city of Aleppo, more than ten kilometers away. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that the strikes targeted “

missile depots belonging to Lebanese Hezbollah

 .”

“

The Israeli enemy launched an air attack against various sites in Athriya, southeast of Aleppo

,” also specified a military source cited by the official Syrian agency Sana.

Syria targeted 18 times by Israeli raids

According to a latest report from the OSDH this Friday, March 29, six Hezbollah fighters and 36 Syrian soldiers were

killed in these strikes

. A Syrian military source confirmed the raids which, according to the official Sana agency,

left “several civilians and soldiers killed and injured

 ”.

Contacted by AFP from Jerusalem, the Israeli army responded for the moment “

not to comment

” on these press reports. Since the start of this year, Israeli planes have targeted Syria 18 times, killing some 80 people and injuring dozens. At the same time, Israel and Hezbollah

have engaged in

daily exchanges of fire along the Israeli-Lebanese border since the start of the Gaza war.

An airstrike had already targeted a residential building in the suburbs of Damascus on Thursday, killing two civilians, according to the official Syrian news agency Sana, which blamed Israel for the attack. Then, on March 19, Israeli raids had already targeted Hezbollah weapons depots in the vicinity of Damascus.
