PODCAST

The EDF Pulse start-up awards have already revealed nearly 30 innovative start-ups in the fields of health, electric mobility, renewable energies… On the occasion of the 7th edition, discover special episodes of the podcast "Avant Demain" dedicated to the four winners of 2020.

Earthwake, the start-up that turns plastic waste into energy

Over 8 million tonnes of household plastics continue to be dumped into the oceans each year.

Imagine that we could transform this plastic into a source of energy?

In this episode, discover how the start-up Earthwake goes about it using the technique of pyrolysis.

Earthwake received the "Audience Award" at the latest EDF Pulse start-up awards.

InBolt, the start-up that makes the industrial operator infallible

Screwing, drilling, welding ... many industrial processes cannot be automated and require the expertise of an operator.

But how can you be sure that these manual operations are carried out correctly?

InBolt invented a small box that digitizes manual industrial processes.

InBolt received the 2nd Prize at the latest EDF Pulse start-up awards.

BEFC, the start-up that is revolutionizing the world of batteries

Coin-cell batteries, found in watches, children's audiobooks, or small single-use electronic devices, such as pregnancy tests, end up in the trash when used.

Faced with this observation, the start-up BEFC imagined a recyclable miniature battery, based on paper and enzymes, without metal or toxic products, with a lifespan of one day to two months depending on the power.

BEFC received the 1st Prize at the latest EDF Pulse start-up awards.

Water Horizon, the start-up that recovers waste heat in industry

Hot air, cold air, steam: so many energy losses in industrial processes.

The start-up Water Horizon has developed a technology adapted to this problem by developing a reversible and mobile thermal battery, which recovers and transports the waste heat.

Water Horizon received the 3rd Prize at the latest EDF Pulse start-up awards.
