WORLD:

Mr. Michels, why is data so important for AI technology?

Dominik

Michels:

The more data that is available to train an AI, the more powerful it becomes.

But German and European companies often do not have the necessary raw data to be competitive in the long term.

Even if you - hypothetically speaking - followed a surveillance scenario and increased all the data of all 83 million inhabitants of Germany, you would not even begin to reach the amount of data that can be generated with the more than 1.4 billion inhabitants of China.

Can't the lack of data be remedied through more clever programming?
