Most technology stocks closed up, with Alibaba rising more than 6%.

  As of the close, the Dow rose 328.39 points to 27781.05 points, an increase of 1.2%; the Nasdaq rose 82.26 points to 11167.51 points, an increase of 0.74%; the S&P 500 index rose 27.22 points to 3,362.69 points, an increase of 0.82%.

  Overall, in September, the three major U.S. stock indexes ended their previous upward trend. The Dow fell 2.28%, the Nasdaq fell 5.16%, and the S&P 500 fell 3.92%.

In the third quarter, the Dow rose 7.63%, the Nasdaq rose 11.02%, and the S&P 500 rose 8.47%.

  On the disk, the five sectors leading the gains were: solar energy rose by 3.25%; health care rose by 2.85%; renewable energy rose by 2.81%; gas rose by 2.75%; residential buildings rose by 2.43%.

Leading stocks in the solar sector were Sunnova Energy International Inc, which rose 12.89%, Vivopower International Plc, which rose 9.26%, Vivint Solar Inc, which rose 5.9%, and Molina Healthcare Inc, which rose 4.55%, which rose by 6.57%. Centene Corp, Anthem Inc rose 3.45%.

The five sectors that led the decline were: midstream oil and gas industries fell by 2.29%; Jiaolian Coal fell by 2.22%; freight fell by 1.97%; real estate fell by 1.7%; and thermal coal fell by 1.39%.

  In technology stocks, Apple rose 1.53%; Facebook rose 0.1%; Amazon rose 0.16%; Microsoft rose 1.57%; Google rose 0.07%; Netflix rose 1.42%; Tesla rose 2.52%.

  Among the 30 constituent stocks of the Dow, American Express, UnitedHealth, Amgen, Goldman Sachs, etc. rose more than 2%.

  In terms of Chinese concept stocks, Alibaba rose 6.15%; Baidu rose 3.39%; Jingdong rose 3.41%; NetEase rose 0.88%; Sina rose 0.26%; Sina Weibo rose 8.44%; Pinduoduo rose 0.65%; Qu Toutiao fell 5%; Weilai rose 1.7%; iQiyi fell 0.88%; Thunder rose 0.29%; Momo rose 0.62%; Huanju Times rose 3.59%; Huya rose 1.01%; Bilibili rose 2.29%; Auto House rose 5.96%.

  In the US, 146 listed stocks rose.

10 stocks including China Grid, Wanda Sports, Tuniu, Airnet Technology Inc, Genetron Health, Wuhan GM, Tianjing Bio, Qinhuai Data, Sky Sunshine, and Huafu Education, among the top 10 stocks gainers, of which China Grid rose 55.6 %; Wanda Sports rose 30%; Tuniu rose 26.66%; Airnet Technology Inc rose 24.84%; Genetron Health increased 24.33%.

  130 Chinese concept stocks fell.

  For the European market:

  As of press time, the British FTSE 100 index reported 5866.10 points, a decrease of 0.53%; the French CAC40 stock index reported 4,803.44 points, a decrease of 0.59%.

  In the Asia-Pacific market, the Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3218.05 points, a decrease of 0.2%; the Shenzhen Component Index closed at 12,907.45 points, an increase of 0.05%.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index closed at 23459.049 points, an increase of 0.79%.

The Nikkei 225 index closed at 23,185.12 points, a decrease of 1.5%.

  WTI crude oil futures rose 1.81% to US$40.001/barrel; Brent crude oil futures fell 0.49% to US$42.094/barrel.

  Other markets:

  The dollar index fell 0.01% to 93.8400.

The euro/dollar fell 0.17% to 1.1722.

The pound/dollar rose 0.33% to 1.2903.

The dollar/yen fell 0.17% to 105.4600.

  US COMEX gold futures fell 0.64% to 1,890.930 US dollars per ounce.
