His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, inspected the "Yas Bay" project being developed by "Miral" on Yas Island, a new waterfront for Abu Dhabi, and strengthens Yas Island as a leading global tourist destination for entertainment and business. His Highness said: “We are proceeding in our development process, regardless of the variables. Such projects form part of our endeavors to establish new global standards in the tourism and entertainment sector, and with such projects we are confidently moving towards the future to establish Abu Dhabi as a global economic, investment and tourist attraction.” .

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed was also briefed on the master plan of "Yas Bay", and the latest developments and achievements of this project, which is being held in the southern section of Yas Island, and consists of three main areas: "The Waterfront" and "The Residences." », And twofour54, the project is expected to attract 15,000 residents and more than 10,000 employees.

His Highness’s visit included a tour of "Etihad Arena", the first multi-purpose indoor "arena" in Abu Dhabi, which is an essential part of the waterfront of the "Yas Bay" project.

His Highness inspected the readiness of the "Etihad Arena", which will be inaugurated, to host the "UFC" and other international events.

"Etihad Arena" will be a world-class facility for live entertainment shows, major and special events, and will have a flexible capacity ranging from 200 to 18,000 people.

During the visit, His Highness was also briefed on the work progress of the "Hilton Yas Bay Hotel" and the Pier, in addition to the infrastructure projects and public facilities that had been completed.

His Highness praised the efforts made by "Miral" and the successes achieved by Yas Island in completing the construction of its various entertainment options and achieving its vision as a global tourist destination.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Miral, Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, said, “His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was keen to see the latest developments and what has been achieved to date in this pioneering project.”

He added that "(Yas Bay) will contribute to achieving our vision of Yas Island and consolidating its position as a world-class tourist destination for entertainment, recreation and business, thus contributing to the growth of the tourism sector in Abu Dhabi."

It is noteworthy that Miral is investing 4 billion dirhams to develop Yas Bay, which is an essential part of its portfolio of projects under construction, with a total value of 12 billion dirhams.
