A report issued by the commercial registration and licensing sector in Dubai Economy showed that the total number of active and operating companies in Al Barsha reached 7112 companies.
The report pointed out that these licenses were distinguished by their diversity according to the activity, as commercial activities came first (3602), with a share of (50.6%), then professional (3341) with a share (47%), while the rest of the percentages were distributed to tourism and industrial activities.
The report referred to the volume of commercial activity in Al Barsha to give the business community an introductory overview of the reality of business and the opportunities available in that region.
Regarding the legal form of active licenses in Al Barsha, licenses for limited liability companies came first with a rate of 46.3%, followed by individual establishments by 28.6%, and then for civil works by 18.5%.
Legal forms also include a limited liability company - a single person, a branch of a company based in another emirate, a branch of a Gulf company, a branch of a foreign company, a branch of a company / establishment based in a free zone, a joint liability company, a public shareholding company, and a simple recommendation.
The percentage of businessmen in companies operating in Al Barsha reached 95.3%, followed by businesswomen by 2.5%, and companies by 2.1%.
The most prominent groups of activities for licenses in Al Barsha include: contracting and related matters, general trade, ready-made clothes group, restaurants and cafes, other commercial activities, building maintenance, guards and cleaning, cleaning services, electronics group, real estate, and information technology.
It is noteworthy that the Al Barsha area in Dubai is divided into “Al Barsha 1”, “Al Barsha 2” and “Al Barsha 3”, in addition to the Al Barsha South area.
Most of the residential buildings, shops and restaurants are located in Al Barsha 1, while most of the villas are scattered in the rest of the complexes.
