Porsche Taycan -
DR
The Taycan, the first mass-produced electric Porsche, is a great success, and that's an understatement since by mid-2019, the number of pre-orders had already taken the manufacturer by surprise.
In response, the brand's managers decided to double production, from 20,000 to 40,000 units per year.

More recently, according to the German publication Automobilwoche, Porsche would be in a shortage of manpower to catch up following the Covid-19 crisis.
That is why 400 Audi workers moved from the Neckarsulm factory to the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen factory.
A simple warm-up?
A little learning about the electric supercar assembly lines won't hurt Audi workers as the e-tron GT, the four-ring electric super-sports car, is expected in 2021 and will be based on the same platform as the Taycan.

Note also that following the success and production delays of the Taycan, the launch of the shooting brake Cross Turismo version has been postponed until 2021.
