Lamborghini Sian Roadster - DR
Capable of spraying 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 350 km / h, the Lamborghini Sian Roadster has an atmospheric 6.5-liter V12 engine, combined with an engine electric placed in the gearbox. And as a reminder, this hybrid system is unique in the world
Indeed, it is not powered by batteries but by a supercapacitor, a world first in a road car. The advantage is that for equal weight and volume, the supercapacitor delivers a power three times greater than that of a Lithium-Ion battery. It also has the distinction of recharging as quickly as it discharges, which is not the case with a battery. Disadvantage of this technology, on which rests the dreams of an electric car that would travel 1,000 km with a "full" and recharge in a few minutes: it stores much less electricity than a battery of the same size, and is especially for the moment much more expensive.
Note that this problem is not one in a car like this, whose price (not revealed) would be roughly ... 3.3 million euros. This monster of 819 hp will only be produced in 19 copies, which are already all sold.
