Why did 100 million yuan disappear?

Alcoholic wine is characterized as "fraud"

Looking back on this incident, how exactly did the 100 million yuan assets of the bank disappear? The argument given to this alcoholic liquor was transferred in three batches.

According to the announcement of alcoholic liquor on January 28, 2014, on November 29, 2013, the company's subsidiary alcoholic liquor supply and marketing limited liability company (hereinafter referred to as alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company) opened in Huafeng Road Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank of China Hangzhou Branch The current settlement account with the account name "Drunken Wine Supply and Marketing Co., Ltd." has since deposited a total of 100 million yuan in deposits.

On December 10th and December 11th, 2013, a suspect had deposited 200 yuan and 300 yuan in the aforementioned account of the company without the knowledge of the alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company, and then on December 11, 2013 Through the counter of Huafeng Road Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank of China Hangzhou Branch, a 35 million yuan deposit was transferred from the alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company; on December 12, 2013, the same suspect also deposited 500 yuan into the aforementioned account of the alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company, and at the same time Transferred 35 million yuan deposit of alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company through the counter of Huafeng Road Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank of China Hangzhou Branch; on December 13, the same suspect provided 30 million yuan of alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company through Huafeng Road Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank of China Hangzhou Branch Yuan deposits are remitted.

Inside Story of "Deposit Selling Wine" in Liquor Industry

The case was opened on August 18, 2015. According to the first-instance judgment of the case, in order to improve the company's sales performance, Hao Gang, the then director of Jiugui Liquor, entrusted friends Luo Guang and Shou Manjiang, who were engaged in the liquor sales business, to buy 6 million yuan of high-priced liquor from the Jiujiu Liquor Supply and Marketing Company. Payment of 6.45 million "interest-bearing payments" to alcoholic liquor.

Shou Manjiang required Jiugui to deposit 100 million yuan in Huafeng Road Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank of China, and Hao Gang on behalf of the company to make no advance withdrawal, pledge, transfer, loss reporting, investigation, online banking and telephone banking within one year. "Six not promised", as a condition to buy 6 million yuan alcoholic liquor high-priced liquor. A large portion of this deposit was eventually “borrowed” by Luo Guang, Shou Manjiang and others at an annual interest rate several times higher than the market to other companies.

However, the alcoholic liquor asked the bank to send a statement about one month after the account was opened. The statement showed that the alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company had only 1117.03 yuan left on this account. After being inquired by the alcoholic liquor supply and marketing company, they learned that the money had been transferred, and they immediately contacted Luo Guang, Shou Manjiang and others by telephone, text message, etc. to request the money back. However, Shou Manjiang didn't make up the money in the end, and finally caused the incident.

Why does alcoholic liquor take such a big risk to "sell wine with deposits"? The reporter of the Beiqing Daily learned that due to the policy of restricting the “three public consumption” issued by the state in 2012, the liquor market, especially the sales of high-end liquor, has fallen into a trough. Many liquor companies have performance pressure, which has led to the quiet rise of this liquor selling model.

The so-called "deposit selling wine" is actually a pledge in disguise. Because wine is expensive and resources are scarce, dealers must make money in advance to the wine company's account. Liquor distributors require liquor companies to deposit huge deposits with banks and use them to obtain bank loans to distribute liquor products. Industry insiders said that the "liquor bank" in the industry is a typical liquor exchange for money, and the money is used to buy wine, so as to snowball, but many dealers do not sell alcohol in the end, and get money to loan usury. Not only is it 100 million yuan for alcoholic liquor, Luzhou Laojiao also had about 500 million yuan in bank deposits missing.

The dust settled after 6 years

  112.6 million yuan recovered

So far, the alcoholic liquor executives in the "missing 100 million yuan deposit case" have left or retired, and Hao Gang, who was directly involved in the matter, was investigated in 2017. After six years, the alcoholic wine finally recovered the money.

On the evening of July 5, the alcoholic liquor announced that it had received more than 70 million yuan in compensation from the Agricultural Bank of China Hangzhou Huafeng Road Sub-branch, and the case was declared closed. Jiugui Liquor Supply and Marketing Co., Ltd. recovered a total of 40.663 million yuan of funds involved, received compensation of 71.914 million yuan through litigation procedures, and recovered a total of 112.6 million yuan of funds.

Prior to the disclosure of the "missing 100 million deposits", the Hunan Provincial Securities Regulatory Bureau did not notify the secretary of the board of directors of Jiuguijiu and fulfilled the obligation of information disclosure on Jijiu Liquor in a timely manner. Penalty for integrity files of China Securities Regulatory Commission. Also because of the "missing" of this money, the profitability of the drunkard wine, which was extremely pressured at that time, turned from positive to negative in 2013, and "weared a hat" the following year.

Now that this incident is over, the money is partially recovered and there is bank compensation. Jiugui Jiu said that the recovery of the money will have a positive impact on Jijiu Jiu's current income.
