Amidst the restrictions on foreign entry from all over the world, an effort was made to enjoy traveling abroad online on the night of the 5th, in an effort to support local Japanese guides who had lost their sight-seeing work.

On the night of the 5th, an online tour of the tourist destination of Venice in Italy was taken with photos and videos. Rie Niitsu, who has been an interpreter guide to Japanese travelers for nearly 20 years, served as a guide.

About 30 people, including those living in Tokyo, participated in the online tour, and Mr. Niitsu explained the tourist attractions along with the video of the city of Venice and introduced recommended restaurants using the message function.

Italy eased entry from EU-European Union member states, but Japan's entry restrictions continue, and Mr. Niitsu said that his job has been cut off since March.

This tour was planned and organized by a man who runs a company in Tokyo last year who was guided by Mr. Niitsu, and the participation fee of 2000 yen per person will be handed to Mr. Niitsu excluding fees. .

A woman in her forties in Yokohama City said, “It was fun to get information about the local life. I would love to visit the site when sightseeing resumes.”

Mr. Niitsu wants to continue the online tour while involving other Japanese guides, and says, "I would like to convey my experience in Italy by incorporating new methods and trial and error."
