Affected by the new coronary pneumonia epidemic in 2020, all walks of life are facing different difficulties and challenges, and catering is the first to bear the brunt. In this year's government work report, it was proposed to "support the restoration and development of life service industries such as catering and promote the integration of online and offline." At present, my country is gradually realizing the resumption of production and market, in order to promote the recovery of consumption and promote the better integration and development of catering enterprises and takeaway platforms.

  According to the "Research on the Effect of Takeaway Business on the High-Quality Development of the Catering Industry" released by researchers of the China Trade Department, my country's first-, second-, and third-tier cities have a 96.31% consumer penetration rate of food delivery. In addition, the most direct effect of the takeaway business on the high-quality development of the catering industry is to promote the receivables and profit growth of the catering industry. In the past three years, the contribution rate of all sample cities to the total revenue has increased year by year, and has reached 17.44% in 2019. Among the incremental profits of catering companies, the contribution rate of the takeaway business in 2019 increased by 56% compared with 2018. The food delivery business is changing the profit pattern of catering companies, so that catering companies have created a new profit growth engine outside of dine-in.

  Hu Naijun, deputy director of the Employment and Social Security Research Center of Tsinghua University, said that in the "post-epidemic era", the catering industry must be one of the main consumers in the process of economic recovery. However, the recovery of the catering industry should also adapt to the transformation of the economic structure, focusing on the integration of online and offline development, not just online. In the future, the takeaway catering platform can better capture consumer demand and provide more targeted services.
