Science and Technology Daily (correspondent Zhou Liyu, Lu Yiwen, reporter Zhu Tong) The reporter recently learned from Northwest Oilfield that with the commencement of well closure operations at Well YJ2-14, located in the wetland reserve in the upper reaches of the Tarim River, it marked that the Northwest Oilfield “returned wells to forests” "The project officially entered the sprint phase. In 2020, the Northwest Oilfield will seal and exit the last 18 wells in the wetland reserve in the area.

Northwest Oilfield has produced more than 100 million tons of crude oil since it entered Xinjiang in 1978. In the process of development and construction, the oilfield always adheres to the concept of green development and actively builds modern green oil companies, with a cumulative green area of more than 50,000 square meters.

In recent years, 105 oil and water wells developed and produced by the Northwest Oilfield in the Tarim River Basin have been assigned to Populus euphratica forests and wetland reserves.

Facing the contradiction between production efficiency and ecological environment, Northwest Oilfield decisively chose to put ecological construction first, and started the "returning wells to forests" three-year plan from 2018 to make oil wells and facilities in the protected area permanent Seal wells and clean up.

Northwest Oilfield strictly complies with the relevant national and Xinjiang laws and regulations on nature reserves, investing 260 million yuan in 105 oil and gas located in the Tarim Huyang National Nature Reserve in Bazhou and the Wetland Autonomous Region-level Nature Reserve in the upper reaches of the Tarim River in Aksu. Wells, 16 ground stations (fields), and 542 kilometers of ground pipelines were shut down, cleared and protected area reclamation in batches.

In order to protect the green ecology of the protected area, Northwest Oilfield strictly complies with the requirements of ecological protection. After shutting down the wells and dismantling all relevant oil and gas facilities, the surrounding environment will be restored with landforms and ecological restoration. Drought-resistant plants to further improve the local ecological environment. At the same time, the "Plan for Land Reclamation of Oil and Gas Well Stations in the Protected Area of Northwest China Oilfield Branch of Sinopec" was compiled, and reclamation construction was carried out for all exit sites.

In the implementation process, strictly implement the environmental protection supervision rectification and sales number system, establish and improve the rectification and sales number account book, ensure that the account can be checked, active and traceable, and the process is controlled, so that "the workload is 100% complete and the standard construction is 100 %, Qualified quality 100% "to ensure" zero accidents "and" zero pollution ". As of March 25, 2020, the Northwest Oilfield had cleared 87 wells, dismantled 12 ground stations (fields) and 508 kilometers of surface pipelines in the Hu Yanglin and Wetland Reserve.
