On April 1, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received a report from the China Animal Epidemic Prevention and Control Center. After being diagnosed by the Sichuan Animal Epidemic Prevention and Control Center, a piglet transporter from another province was found in the parking lot of the Lezi Expressway in Leshan City Pai detected African swine fever. At the time of the seizure, the vehicle contained 83 piglets and one died.

After the outbreak, the local emergency response mechanism has been activated in accordance with the requirements, all piglets have been harmlessly treated, and the relevant disposal sites, environment, roads and transportation vehicles have been thoroughly disinfected. The case has been transferred to the public security organs for processing. At present, the batch of pigs has been processed in accordance with regulations, and the epidemic investigation and tracing work is in progress.
