Stranded German cruise ship after 41 of its passengers and crew were infected with the "Corona" virus, refused to leave the state of Western Australia, causing a major inconvenience to local authorities.

The "Artania" cruise ship has been moored in Fremantle, southern Perth, since last week.

Western Australian Prime Minister Mark McGowan said today that he was very disappointed, expressing his desire to leave the ship as soon as possible.
McGowan also asked the federal government to intervene.

He said: “If the ship needs to be cleared, well, disinfect it and let it go, and if they need protective equipment, give it to them, but make the ship depart soon.”
