Jordan imposes very strict containment measures and in comparison with many European countries, the disease is progressing slowly in the kingdom.

They were kept in large hotels on the shores of the Dead Sea and in Amman. They are now free but must observe a new quarantine at home for another 14 days. These 5,000 people entered Jordanian territory shortly before all of the country's borders were completely closed two weeks ago. The government has indicated that those who do not respect this new home confinement will be punished and that the police will monitor them.

Jordan has adopted very strict measures to fight the coronavirus epidemic. After a full five-day curfew, it is now prohibited to leave your home at night. Car traffic is also prohibited and all supermarkets are closed. A new full curfew must take place next Friday for 24 hours.

The number of contamination progresses slowly

Hundreds of people who did not follow these rules were arrested. The country is getting organized, the authorities have set up an online application to have food delivered to your home.

These provisions appear to be bearing fruit. The number of new infections is decreasing. There were six of them on Tuesday, March 31, and less than 300 people have contracted the virus so far in the Hashemite kingdom.
