The Secretary General of the Dubai Executive Council, Abdullah Al Basti, and the Director General of Dubai Economy, Sami Al Qamzi, in the presence of senior officials yesterday, raised the banner of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart Government Program, at the Dubai Economic Headquarters in the Business Village, after the "Immediate License Initiative" finally won the banner of the program In 2019, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, delivered the flag to Dubai Economy as the winning government agency for the best government initiative on the "Immediate License Initiative".

The Director General of Dubai Economy, Sami Al Qamzi, appreciated the efforts of the "immediate license" team from the commercial registration and licensing sector, and won the public trust after strong competition with eight government initiatives nominated within the program.

He stressed the continuation of the march of excellence and innovation, and the application of global best practices to achieve excellence in the field of customer service and happiness, being the primary axis for developing government services, as the "immediate license" contributed to the "starting a business" axis on which the ease of doing business index 2020 issued by the World Bank And the ranking of the UAE rose to 17th globally.

Al Qamzi pointed out that Dubai’s economy is working to achieve positive interaction with customers to understand their needs and aspirations for designing priority services, which contributes to promoting and facilitating business in the Emirate of Dubai.

The "instant license" enables businessmen and investors to extract the commercial license in just one step within five minutes, through a virtual site for the license and without an electronic contract for the first year only, provided that the site is determined upon renewal. The initiative also reduces the time and cost required to conduct company registration transactions.
