Data published by Dubai Statistics Center, issued by Dubai Municipality, revealed that the total number of completed buildings in the emirate reached 6665 new buildings during 2019, with a growth rate of 10.2% for the year 2018, which recorded 6043 buildings.

The data, which Emirates Today obtained, showed that in March 2019 the highest rate of completed buildings reached 990 buildings.

In detail, data published by the Dubai Statistics Center, issued by the Dubai Municipality, revealed that the total number of completed buildings in the emirate reached 6665 new buildings during 2019, compared to 6043 buildings in 2018, with a growth rate of 10.2%, and an average of 555 buildings per month.

According to the data, the total number of completed buildings in the emirate last January was 389, and during February 508 buildings, while the number in March reached 990 buildings. April registered 638 buildings, and May 588 buildings, compared to 394 buildings in June and 736 buildings in July.

August recorded 349 buildings compared to 333 buildings in September, bringing the total number of completed buildings to 588 and 683 buildings in October and November, respectively, while the number in December was 469 buildings.

The new buildings were distributed between 3638 buildings for "investment villas", 2022 buildings for "private villas", 361 "multi-storey buildings", and 280 buildings "floor ratios", while the number of public buildings buildings reached 210 buildings, and industrial buildings 154 buildings.

The data indicated that the investment villas topped the list of completed buildings between January and November 2019, accounting for 54.6%, followed by villas with a share of 30.3%, then “multi-storey buildings” by 5.4%, while the share of buildings “floor ratios” reached 4.2 %, Public buildings buildings 3.2%, industrial buildings 2.3%.

According to statistics, investment and private villas accounted for 84.9% of the number of completed buildings in Dubai, between January and November 2019, registered 5,660 buildings.
