His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the Dubai International Financial Center, received yesterday morning the Mayor of the Financial District in the British capital, Lord William Russell.
His Highness welcomed Lord William Russell and the accompanying delegation, stressing His Highness on building bridges of cooperation between the Dubai International Financial Center and the financial district in the British capital London, for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples.
During the meeting, a number of issues were discussed related to Dubai hosting the largest event this year, "Expo 2020 Dubai", and consolidating the foundations of cooperation between the Dubai International Financial Center and the Financial District in London in the field of clean energy, and supporting laws and regulations in the field of financial innovation technology.
Lord William praised the depth of the relationship between the Dubai International Financial Center and the financial district in London, and the visions of the leadership of the UAE and their future directions, and the infrastructure, capabilities, logistical facilities and distinctive incentives provided by companies and investors in all sectors to improve and achieve the emirate’s aspirations.
