Emirates Today has learned that Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airlines, will retire at the end of June next year.
According to the information, Clark will remain a consultant with Emirates Airlines, after his retirement.
Sir Tim Clark joined the airline’s founding team in 1985 as head of the airline’s planning division, and became its chairman in 2003. He has been instrumental in making Emirates Airlines the global giant we see today.
Prior to joining Emirates, Sir Tim Clark built a reputation as a talented planner for flight routes while he worked for Gulf Air, which he hired from Caledonian Airlines. He also held the position of Managing Director of SriLankan Airlines until 2008.
Sir Tim Clark holds a degree in Economics from the University of London, UK, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Aviation Science. He holds an honorary doctorate from Middlesex University and an honorary degree from Newcastle Business School at Northumbria University, both in the United Kingdom.
