Expo 2020 Dubai and the Art of Jameel Foundation unveiled yesterday the winning designs of the Sabeel 2020 competition, which was launched by Expo 2020 Dubai, with the aim of designing modern and innovative ways of providing drinking water to the visitors throughout the Expo site.

The competition, announced at a press conference at the Jameel Arts Center in Dubai, won two unique designs by Architects and Other Things and designers Faisal Al Malik and Alia Bin Omair.The winners will receive AED 100,000 per design, while the winning designers will be available. The opportunity to cooperate and work with an expanded team of engineers and architects affiliated to «Expo 2020» to implement the project of water ways on site. Expo 2020 Dubai launched the Sabeel 2020 competition in July 2019, in collaboration with the Art of Jameel Foundation, to engage designers, architects, artists and other creators in presenting the heritage of water with a new vision. The architect and university professor Faisal Tabbara said: “Our design looks at the relationship between water resources and natural vegetation in the UAE.
