The World Economic Forum (WEF) said that the annual meeting of the World Future Councils is one of the largest brainstorming sessions around the world. It provides a unique opportunity to foster innovative thinking and seek solutions to the challenges that shape the future, from managing new technologies and protecting the environment to addressing divisions within societies. And in between. Council members will meet in Dubai to focus on goals, share new perspectives among network members, and formulate an agenda to change global systems, taking into account their implications for business, government and civil society.

The fourth annual meeting of the World Future Councils is being held at a time of escalating climate, misuse of destructive technologies and geopolitical tensions that continue to strain societies and the potential of future generations.

According to the World Economic Forum, current efforts to mitigate these risks are seriously shortened.

The Forum stressed the importance of addressing these challenges through an upbeat vision that inspires action. A coherent and sustainable world can be achieved if stakeholders from different segments of society work more quickly and work together to that end.

The recommendations, ideas and solutions resulting from the annual meeting of the World Future Councils 2019 will directly contribute to the program of the annual World Economic Forum meeting of the World Economic Forum 2020 and will define the framework of the ongoing global initiatives of the Forum, designed to drive systemic change for a more inclusive and sustainable world.
