It is an intense social week that begins for the government in an atmosphere of impending cabinet reshuffle and the need to take a position on the application or postponement of the withholding tax from individuals.

As of Tuesday, Emmanuel Macron, Edouard Philippe and Gérald Darmanin, Minister of Actions and Public Accounts, will have to remove the doubts that have hovered over the weekend on the application of the levy of taxes at source. Technical reliability of the system and political risk of the operation will be weighed thoroughly.

Tuesday, always, the Prime Minister will receive in Matignon the two last unions of the list CFDT and Unsa to evoke the system of unemployment insurance. Those of the social partners already received last week, including the CGT and FO, have hardly come out satisfied. They do not see the need to reopen this dossier even though an agreement was reached at the end of 2017.

Finally, Wednesday, will start in committee in the National Assembly review of the bill for growth and business transformation. Among its provisions: the partial privatization of Engie and total of the French games, the enhanced protection of strategic French companies, and the relaxation of social thresholds for growing companies.
