The Ministry of Education explained that two kindergartens in Gyeonggi Province, which did not introduce EduPine, have already applied for closure and have virtually introduced 100 percent because there are no children currently in financial support.

Lee Deok-sun, the chairman of the Korea Kindergarten Association, announced that he decided to introduce Edu Pine in a kindergarten built in Dongtan, Gyeonggi-do.

There are less than 200 children, so it is not mandatory, but there are about 200 places in Edu Pine.

Deputy Prime Minister Yoon Eun-hye said that the introduction of Edu Pine has started the first step to raise transparency in private kindergarten accounting and said it will discuss the application to all private kindergartens next year.
