There was a moment of technical hassle before the robot got on track when it was time to bake waffles for visitors.

- One position had changed so the robot lost the fork when it was about to put it back. Then it fell to the floor and cracked, because it's just 3D-printed plastic. You may have to make a reinforcement for the upcoming version, says Jens Lindberg, who is behind the invention.

Make a waffle in 160 seconds

On a daily basis, the home-built robot stands in a garage in Harrbäcken outside Piteå. It was 8-year-old Selda who ordered it from her dad when she was craving waffles.

There has been a lot of crispy food in the family as the robot fixes the perfect waffle in 160 seconds. It did so even today at Teknikens hus in Luleå – where the public could see the wonder and at the same time enjoy the dish on its very own day on March 25.

"There has been a huge amount of interest in the robot," says Jens Lindberg.

In the video, you see the robot baking waffles and then the owner tells you what new abilities the robot should gain.
