The Nobel Committee of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden announced on the 5th local time that it has selected three recipients of the Nobel Prize in Physiology, including Harvey Olter and Charles Rice from the United States and Michael Horton from the United Kingdom.



The Nobel Committee explained that they were selected as the winners for their contributions to helping them find the hepatitis C virus and fight diseases such as liver cancer and cirrhosis.



Winners will receive 9 million krona in prize money and about 1.09 billion won in our money



The Nobel Prize ceremony, held every December 10th in Stockholm, Sweden, will be replaced by an online awards ceremony this year due to the corona 19 pandemic.
