The pastry chef Jordi Roca, the youngest of the brothers of the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca and also known for his gastronomic adventures under the brand Rocambolesc, has entered with his partner, the Mexican Ale Rivas, in the world of salting by opening in Girona a place of mixed or bikinis, Rocambolesc Bikineria.
The establishment, which opens its doors this Friday, is dedicated to selling that type of hot sandwich, usually ham and cheese, but which is complemented here with other variants.
"
We have four types ranging from classic to one of Iberian with fresh mozzarella and truffle or a vegetable of eggplant, mozzarella and truffle to finish with pastrami, which is delicious and is Jordi's favorite, "details Ale. Prices range between 5.50 and 7.50 euros.

This concept is added to the ice cream parlour and confectionery of Rocambolesc in annexed premises.
Of this new bet, Jordi Roca explains that they simply wanted to "make bikinis" and has acknowledged that they did not expect the "expectation" that the new business has awakened.
"We expect as many people to come as to look for ice cream, we have expectations, but we are embarrassed, because many people have told us they want to come," he adds.
Neither he nor his partner rule out taking the project to other cities, "An option if people like it and the possibility opens," admits the Mexican.

Rocambolesc was linked until now to the world of sweets with ice cream and confectionery, so she admits that she takes "a big step" with the bikinería.
In the adventure they have collaborators such as Poma de Girona, a Protected Geographical Indication of apples formed by three companies with more than 2,000 hectares of cultivation, which will provide natural juices that will be served in the new establishment.
Even more innovative will be the presence in a corner of bikinis designed by the Olympic medalist Ona Carbonell, who puts on sale for the first time in this place in Girona her new line of swimwear, which will go on the market next summer. Carbonell, who has been in Girona this Thursday, explained that Jordi Roca proposed this idea and that it seemed a "good way to start".
