RIA Novosti writes about it.

"On May 5, 2023, from 18:14 to 22:31 Moscow time, the Moon will pass through the penumbra of the Earth, a penumbral lunar eclipse will occur," the report said.

It is noted that the eclipse will be deep enough, but very weak, since the Moon will pass only near the edge of the Earth's shadow, always remaining in its penumbra.

The maximum immersion of the Moon in the penumbra of the Earth will occur at 20:23 Moscow time.

On February 24, Mikhail Nevsky, Head of the Observatory of the Department of Space Physics of the Southern Federal University, told what celestial phenomena can be observed in 2023.

According to him, the May Aquarids are predicted for May 6-7.

Nevsky also said that a new moon is expected on June 21, and on the night of July 29, the Southern Delta Aquarids meteor shower from the constellation Aquarius will reach a maximum.
